Ms Gabi Eckereder

Gabi has been a for Midwife (RM) and a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) for over 10 years. Currently Gabi is working as a Lactation Consultant at The Royal Women’s Hospital and in her own private practice mumsmilk in Hampton. 

 

Gabi offers a broad range of tailored services including antenatal breastfeeding education, breastfeeding support, parenting support and Low Level Laser Therapy. Low Level Laser Therapy is a highly effective and painless treatment for a variety of breastfeeding challenges. It is especially suited for relieving discomfort in mums with sore and damaged nipples.

 

Gabi is most passionate about supporting mums on their breastfeeding journey and providing them with the care and confidence to enjoy the time with their baby.  Becoming a mother herself in 1999 gave her real insight into the potential hurdles of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is so much more than providing breastmilk and new mums know this intuitively. Sometimes just a little bit of help and advice is all that is needed to turn around the challenges into a joyful breastfeeding experience. 

 

Gabi offers practical guidance, personalised care and effective solutions. All designed to empower mums to trust in their innate maternal instincts and tailored to suit the needs of mum and baby. Her care is based on an empathetic, holistic and evidence based approach. She is constantly updating her skills and knowledge to provide the best possible care. Gabi is also qualified and experienced in assessing tongues ties in relation to breastfeeding.

 

When Gabi is not caring for mums and babies she spends time with her teenage son and her beloved Irish Terrier, Yarra. Gabi is very passionate about yoga, spiritual growth and loves travelling around the globe.
