Dr Elizabeth Maher
Founder, Co-Director, General Practitioner
Elizabeth has more than 20 years experience in general practice, with a special interest in working with families, and maternal & infant health. She worked at the Masada Early Parenting Centre (sleep school) over 10 years, where she gained valuable insight into the complexities of infant sleep, settling and behaviour. She now enjoys seeing families and implementing infant sleep strategies in the outpatient setting, using a one-on-one approach that addresses the individual issues of her patients.
Elizabeth graduated from Monash University Medical School in 2003 (Bachelor Medicine and Surgery, Hons.). She then spent several years working at Monash Health, throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, including terms in paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, emergency medicine and surgery, before moving into general practice.
Elizabeth has two beautiful daughters, who as babies, didn’t understand the importance of sleep! This started her extensive research into the field of sleep and settling techniques. Due to her own personal experience, she understands the worry, guilt, confusion and pure exhaustion associated with parenting an infant with sleep issues.
In her spare time, Elizabeth can be found on the dance floor, in the yoga studio, or travelling and searching for adventure with her husband and two children.
